SEO basically puts your website on the map of the internet which is why SEO is important. But why is SEO important? It is because if the website is not SEO friendly, it will rank low in search engines and not show up in searches. Among others,SEO for blogs is particularly important because blogging is great for the SEO of a website. If the posts are written with certain factors in mind, the blog can rank very well for a specific search. Whenever you search for something on a search engine like Google, it sends out ‘spiders,’ which are like these really fast detective-ninjas, to ferret out relevant information based on page headings, keywords and phrases, image alt attributes, etc. So when we talk about the importance of SEO for blogs, what we basically need to know are
1. New SEOs are added by Blogs. For every new blog post you write, you are adding a new page to your website.
2. Blogging drives internet traffic. Writing blog posts in an SEO friendly manner greatly improves traffic to your website for the targeted keywords or search terms.
But the blog has to be made SEO friendly first. How does SEO help a blog? Why is SEO important for a blog, at all? It helps people find and access your blog and increase engagement. If the blog is not SEO friendly, then it will remain virtually unseen. That is the importance of SEO for blogs. Here are some tips for improved SEO for blogs.
1. Write fresh content, and post regularly. The ninja-detective spiders only pay attention to very active sites. If you slack off, they are going to turn their heads away and ignore you.
2. Include images in your blog content, and caption them with relevant keywords. Also add image alt attributes, which are alternative texts for the image. The spiders will find it easier to track you down, then.
3. Connect to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, and share your blog posts. Search engines will link onto them.
4. Write guest posts for larger blogs, comment on and follow other blogs, and associate with fellow bloggers to increase engagement. They will reciprocate by commenting on and following your blog too, if the content is qualitative.
5. Write keyword rich content so that the spiders can latch on to your blog easily.
So this is the importance of SEO for blogs, and makes every attempt to improve it. Go ahead and create an SEO friendly blog for your website. And watch the internet traffic roll in!
